So the weather is bad or maybe even if it's not, what else can you do with your drone? I shoot Google Maps 360° photos. I have uploaded ~900 photos which have ~6.5M views. The secrect to a high view count is to upload a 360° panorama. These are promoted by Google as Streetview images. Of my 16 images with more the 100K views 11 are 360s. The challenging subject to go after are inside businesses. Flying indoors without GPS is not difficult as long as there is sufficent light which allows the drone to hold position via the downward camera sensor. The other trick is to get permission to fly in a business. I ask for the manager and then explain what I want to do and how it can promote the business on Google Maps. I have only had one business turn me down. The shots at WEM waterpark did require a bit more back and forth but in the end I and they got some great pics. So below are shots I made today (27 Aug) and the most popular one from WEM. 178K views since June of this year.
So why not expand your horizon and promote what drones can do. My alternative motive is to promote drone acceptance in the community. I typically also post the business 360s on a Facebook community page.
