I'm not an hypocrite and I'm not going to tell you to follow the rules to the letter when I've broken all the limits myself... so these are just a few tips from a long range enthusiast.
You should try to keep the drone under 120 meters, specially in long range flights where you lose the perception of incoming airplanes.
Going above the clouds is fine for a short time, but don't travel within manned vehicle's airspace. First the wind is way stronger, air is thinner, and you'll eat up more battery... and second, through pretty unlikely, you can hit a manned aircraft.
Also, the cool stuff is usually close to the ground, although flying through clouds can be fun sometimes. |
