Well, have I missed something?
I've upgraded from the Spark to the Air2S with a smart controller. So far very pleased, but still a lot to learn.
I was expecting that Waypoints actually meant waypoints. That I could either add map references in one by one or even drag up a map and touch the points one after the other.
Hmm looks like I was wrong, it's hyperlapse with route mapping then filming.

Am I right or have I missed something? Does anyone know any different?

HI DAFlys,  thanks for the reply.
I did some more research last night and found that there were packages called MAVEN and WAYPOINTS. Neither of which seem to currently work on the AIR2S.  Someone implied that DJI will be releasing WAYPOINTS for the AIR2S at some future date. The video's I watched shows them both to have functions I would like to have.
I'm watching for any updates to that information.
Also, will drop a line to DJI and find out if it's true ha ha.

Hi again,
just an update to what I've found.
Apparently, the WAYPOINTS is a DJI piece of software and works on MAVIC 2 .  On a chat this morning I was told it now works on the AIR2S. However, my problem is I can't find it anywhere to install it. Or even if it is already installed??
Also found another package called, I think, Lichtchi or something like that.
Has anyone got knowledge about either Waypoints or Lichtchi?
It would certainly make for a really powerful package if it all works.
