Yes, quite a distance. We went all the way out west and then gradually came pack east.
Not really, we went by north of Rennes.

OK. Rennes is on the A84, and just before to the north is Fougeres. We lived about 20Kms east of that town.

Fougeres is 20 km from our Camp site, Camping à la Ferme La Brouillerie. So that must have been pretty much at your old place.

My word, yes!  A few minutes only by car.  Check out the Jardins des Renaudies whilst you're there, And if you have time, the Musée de l'Evolution Agricole at Juvigné (the curator there is a friend of mine)

And the Basilica at Pontmain is worth a visit too. Lots of history to the place but it only dates back to 1872

Bit late for that. We stayed there for one night and moved on to the coast. So no more sight seeing there for me...
It wasn't a long planned stop so we didn't look for sights there.
