Im still at 02.04.1690, and i will not update unless they make major changes for better.
What they added with 02.04.2040 means nothing to me.

It seemed to be a specific update to "fix" the DH unlock capabilities, but it doesn't prompt me to update anymore.

If you are using DH always check in their birdmap on their website the latest "safe" firmware before updating (02.04.2040 is the recommended atm).

DH is a must if you are in EU as CE transmission mode is quite underpowered, specially on the 5.8Ghz band which is just unusable.

I did not get any notifications for the update as well, but I also use DH so I won't update till they say it is safe.

is it possible that DJI can come up with a message to update or fly will not permitted unless you update the firmware?

Well they can if they want to but that is why i have a routine created on my tablet to allways turn off wi-fi everytime Dji Fly APP is launched.
