It's "only" the Hook of Holland to Harwich Ferry, (vesselfinder fibbed about the arrival time of the Ever Globe) but a nice opportunity to pap just as the sun was setting.

Almost, even though the boat was on finals (or whatever it's called) was still moving quite briskly. The temptation is to get really close, hard to gauge distance with such a wide angle lens...

I might have been trigger happy with the stills. Probably could have gotten a little closer...(but not FPV close )

The effect is very pleasing though.

Man this boat has changed,   when I used many years ago it was an overnight ferry which we had some great fun on.

Haha hasn't it just...all upmarket now with lounges and better cabins...was a "chunder fest" when I last went across on the Harwich to Hook route....many, many years ago

Well we used to use the bar a lot and the cabins were pretty terrible.    someone in the group thought he was going to get thrown off the boat at one point until we managed to get him to settle down.

hahaha those were the days...wonder how boats deal with extra rowdy passengers...there's probably a brig or secure cabin somewhere?
