Hi,
Is it possible/practical/feasible to take off and land from a boat?  Especially from a sailboat?  It does have a solar array over the dinghy davits that is relatively unobstructed and flat.

How much room do they need to land?  How finely can you control it?  And how much practice would it take?  (I haven't used any kind of RC thing since probably around 1973, so consider me a complete novice.)

Are there models from DJI that would be either better or worse for this use?

Thanks.

Hello there. Good day and thank you for these information you have given. Just a reminder that when flying above the water, the vision positioning function will turn off automatically and only the GPS and barometer are used for positioning, if affected by the accuracy range, and an accident might happen. In addition I will also post a DJI Forum thread on How to Fly Safely Over Water. Thank you and fly safe always.

The trick to boats is to hand launch and catch,    you would want to practise that on land before trying it on the water.
