I was still hoping too, despite the denial by a DJI staffer that was mentioned on one of the news sites a week or so ago.

I'll just have to hope there is a decent Black Friday deal to tempt me to go for the Mini 2 in the meantime. I'm getting itchy joystick fingers waiting now!

Are you kidding me the mini 2 hardly keeps going to 3km (6 km with home back) either the battery went dead in 7 minutes, or mini 2 lost signal.
My record is only 6km in the very open field like desert. In other places it goes no more than 1km.
Please believ me it's real

I don’t have that problem.   are you using sport  mode all the time?  Did you look at your battery levels in the app?  Something not right with your equipment

If the battery went dead in 7 minutes then there's one of a few reasons why, its broken, it wasn't fully charged, it was under 10 charges, although the latter, you should still get more than 7 minutes.

6km is very good in CE or FCC

Maybe they are holding off on the mini platform until they get the software figured out, wouldn't that be nice?  A completely compatible app for the drone you just bought, and it's solid out of the box?
Hopefully that is their goal, it should be if they want to stay competitive.
