A request for an enhancement.

Is it possible that on the memory chip, that the FOLDER that all the images and video are stored in... could be stored in a folder, named by the DATE?
IE: If I took pictures and video today; the folder would be named 2015-07-28.  

The reason, is that I try to store all my raw footage in folders.  When I am combing a few days of filming into one folder, the files are all named the same.
(Because I cleared the chip and it restarted numbering at 0).

My Canon G7 camera, does create folders by date (hence the idea).
And with the controller, connected to a smart device, getting the clock/date shouldn't be that difficult.

Just a thought.

Or at least, maybe if the camera can remember it's last used file number, and pickup where it left off, until it has to role over?

You have an option in the pilot app to either start over with the numbering or continue with a "consecutive sequence."

Your approach works better, but choosing the other option (relative to the one you either chose or defaulted to) is a work-around in the meantime. In the case of DJI that probably means forever - I'll bet it never gets changed.
