• These renderings are based on actual photos of the M3, although the renderings are not accurate in their size, dimensions, and overall design.
• The DJI Mavic 3 will have a dual-lens setup

• The specs are shown on the camera. The top lens is a seven-times (7x) optical zoom lens. The other lens is marked “F/2.8 EQV 24”. The top left corner of the camera shows an ‘H’ to indicate that it was developed in partnership with Hasselblad. • The DJI Mavic 3 will come in two versions, the more expensive one will be equipped with a 1TB SSD drive (solid-state drive) and ProRes video recording capabilities. The lower-end drone will come without the 1TB SSD onboard.
• Battery life (and/or flight time) is expected to be 45 minutes.
• The drone will come with a new remote controller with a built-in screen. The design is expected to be similar to the remote controller from the DJI Air 2S. The hardware will have been upgraded and will offer O3 (OcuSync 3.0) for the DJI Mavic 3.
• The DJI Mavic 3 is expected to be somewhat larger than the outgoing DJI Mavic 2 Pro/Zoom.
• The DJI Mavic 3 is expected to be released in November. However, keep in mind that DJI tends to change plans at the last moment as we have seen time and time again.

7x Optical is insane.  Anything bigger than a 1" would be quite an upgrade.

The ability to change focal length up to 7x can lead to versatile on-the-fly footage (hopefully it can ultra-wide at 1x).  Also, inspection work would be a lot better than it already is on the M2Z.  Ocusync 3.0 latency like the DJI FPV drone would make All the competitor drones looks like s*.

My concern is that its not getting any lighter which will make it almost impossible to use in the EU after 2022.  

Would love to know if there is compatibility with Smart Controller?

I agree it looks good,  but if its getting bigger its going to be difficult to fly legally in the EU after 2022.

Ahh, forgot about the EU laws and drone weight.  The FAA still has not finalized RF ID rules.  Hopefully, once finalized DJI will be able to do an update to most of the current drones.  Also, I see more tightening of the rules here in the US in the near future.

Yeah.  It’s a real bummer.  

If any of that is true, its basically a P5 not a mavic (bigger form, higher price point etc).

They sent surveys out to existing SC controllers about 10 months ago asking about everything from screen brightness, other features desired, things you don't like, price points etc.

Was fairly clear from that they're developing a SC2.0 range.  The timing would be about right to have one of those at the same time as mavic 3 (or phantom 5 or whatever it is).

None of this information is that important to me. I need to know the price since I will be getting a mortgage on my house for it ;-)

Watching some of the reviews on the Husban mini it appears to be pretty garbage,   tracking only appears to work on the flat with no obstacles or shadows.  Was hoping that would push DJI a bit but I dont think it will bother them at all.

I was looking at the EASA faqs the other day and they say they are ready to classify and that we should see classified drones this year.  I think the manufactures are just boycotting the process.
