Shape of OM5 made TSA think it was a bomb?  DJI and other companies need to consider the shape of what they make to prevent shipping delays or at least inform the agencies that it's no bomb.

FIVE separate Import Scans since it arrived at UPS Kentucky... Each time there is some sort of delay waiting for some government release (right!)
The red arrows annotate every time "UPS is preparing ()package for clearance" or IS prepared.  The green arrows show release by the government.  Seems to be in a loop.  
FWIW, there have been two other occasions where the CLEARED CUSTOMS, then ON THE WAY... those labels have been moved to different dates in the time line, the most recent 09/17/

That's terrible shipping service.

They keep checking the package lmao.  Probably investigating if it's mini-nuclear shipments from China because of WW3 that are all linked to go off at the same time which is possible in other areas that aren't DJI.  This is what happens when people get delusional about things that don't happen and trying to cover every base.  Meanwhile, plenty of other ultra basic bases don't even get looked at or thought of in life.  It's all about trust and ignorance.  Seeing this doesn't matter too much as it's only an OM5.  If it were more important things, it is an issue.  They are probably investigating the packages because there could be related terrorism that doesn't make the news w/ labels as manufacturers that aren't.  There is no proof about any of this or any of the reasons why.  Could be for COVID screening on the packages. : )  I never super worry too much about what goes on in the world as I used to.  People could make it into a better afterlife if things were to go "unfathomably wrong".

Mod Natalia made some efforts to check into the Ky terminal through the DJI's service division.  I just want them to stop using UPS!!

Geez... It finally arrived.  FiVE days bouncing around at the UPS facility in Looserville, Ken#ucky,  Scanned, cleared/released and scanned again, every day except the last.  Then it sat in the facilities in Wisconsin over the weekend, making no progress to my home until Monday 09/20.

The box is so battered and bruised I'm afraid to open it !!! While not torn or crushed, it looks like it spent the weeks in a package tumbler with used auto parts and tires !!!
[EDIT: Sept 21, 2021... Mod Natalia sent me a PM, wanting to help, asking for photos of the parcel, but the packaging made it to the recycling bin.... too gunky to keep around.

I was wavering on whether to keep the product and chanced opening it to see if it was damaged. The internal packaging held up pretty well; though two of the corners of the "pretty" box were bent in and the internal foam sheet that protects the zoom switch was warn through.  The unit seems to operate just fine.  With no external signs of damage, I'll use it a lot this week and if it fails I'll return it.

Mine is still in limbo.. I was joking about the whole TSA bomb thing but it seems like they have strong interests in knowing what the package actually is!  The US government is probably investigating all the Chinese packages in preparing for WW3 as they know the whole pumping money from nothing could only be challenged successfully by China and Russia!

HAHAHA, I had the same thing.  I however have not taken it on a plane.  We will see!
