Nice one, are you a member of the two tree island rc club? I could see an rc plane in the distance when I was there Sunday, been meaning to check that place out for a while now…

Im not a member.  I usually fly along the Hadleigh/benfleet downs or from the far side of two tree island out over the Hadleigh ray.     Technically drones are banned from the area around the castle now,  but then so are bicycles and climbing and they bother occur.

there is a height restriction there of 60 metres in that area I know through the dji app but didn't know of any drones being banned? Like you say not really anyone about to enforce stuff, there were people actually camping at the castle area which I can't see being allowed as there are no facilities toilet etc.

i'll continue to take me chances

They like to camp down by the lone tree ( https://www.instagram.com/p/CP76vFdHXWU/ ),  there are signs at the castle with the rules,  but Im with you and will continue to fly there too.
