Is there a way to make full use of the available spaces for numbering of the images taken with a Mavic 2 Pro?

They are in the format DJI_0xxx, where xxx is 001 to 999. Is there a way  to make the 0 change? Having many directories with identical file names  as it only goes to 0999 before reverting to 0001 is a PITA. Using all  for available spaces for digits would mean a 10 fold decrease in  renaming files.
For my current mapping job that would mean only needing to do it 2 or 3 times, rather than ~25 times!

It seems silly to have the leading zero position there if it can't be used.

Yes, it's stupid, but that's the way it's been with DJI Go 4 for 5 years now.

This has been brought up many times but DJI does not seem to think it is important to change their numbering system.
