Its a mud path to most of those boats and at high tide you either get wet feet or climb over the pub's carpark fence so I can imaging its pretty miserable.

Narrow-boat life on the canals is quite prevalent up here. Some are quite acceptable, but many look like hovels, to be frank.

I follow a couple on YT that just got a boat and are doing it up a little,   not for me but still quite interesting to see.

Well I treated her to a surprise weekend for her birthday to pursue one activity on her bucket list  (Trike Tour around Rutland) so she may let me trade in a few of those Brownie Points
