Two thing have started to happen. When I select RTH from either the all or controller I get the warning"The aircraft will land in it's current location". And it does not return to home it just lands from where it is currently located.

Second, the green flashing lights start out with the double flash but switch over to a single flash almost immediately.
The obstacle detection works both from the front and rear.
I have calibrated the IMU and Compass, updated to the latest firmware. I tried to
calibrate the cameras but the I cant get beyond calibrating the front cameras. I get an error message something about
moving the aircraft incorrectly error and the calibration starts over. The calibration app seems impossible to use.
I can get it started but the minute I try to follow the blue boxes I get the error messages.
And yes I am pointing the sensor, not moving the entire aircraft.

Do you have a GPS lock at takeoff?

You need to change setting in app or you are initiating Rth to close to homepoint.

"And it does not return to home it just lands from where it is currently located."

It will do that if the aircraft is less than 20 metres from your homepoint. In fact. All DJI aircraft do that.

That's actions for loss of signal, not for RTH

The obstacle detection works both from the front and rear.
I have calibrated the IMU and Compass, updated to the latest firmware. I tried to
calibrate the cameras

None of those things has anything to do with RTH.
There are two questions you need to answer to help solve this.
Did the drone have GPS at the time?
How far was the drone from the launch point?

If the drone does not have GPS and you initiate RTH, it will land in place.
If it is within 20 metres and you initiate RTH, it will land in place.

If you still can't work out the cause, the recorded flight data is needed to identify the cause of the issue.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I’ll check GPS strength and make sure I fly out  greater than 20 meters.
