Leduc Growing Project provides a field of canola for the Canadian Foodgrains Bank. 16 combines make quick work of the harvest completed in roughly one hour. Video was recorded with a Mavic Air 2. Flew 2 and a half batteries. Wind picked up near the end. Maxed out at 8m/s in sport mode flying against it. Using 2X zoom made it a bit easier to orbit the machines.

BRAVO... BRAVO.  Look at all those beautiful Deere's!!!!  I've never harvested Canola before.  This was amazing.  So why is a pick-up head used?   Can you not use a draper?  I have some many questions but I'll stop.  Thank you for the video.

Thanks scubaAnn.  I'm not a farmer but have a few farmer friends, that's how I get called upon to make these harvesting videos.  From what I know the Canola is cut so that it dries out faster.  It's usually a race against frost and sometimes snow to harvest here in central Alberta.

Awww. Ok. Very neat. It's a very dark looking grain. Was also impressed with the guy backing doubles.

Yes Canola seed is almost black.  Lucky the market price is high this year.
