The water looks very lively - due to the rain no doubt.  Here' the confluence across the road in quite turbulent after a few days of rain.

The rivers Sett and Goyt meet in the ravine across the road from us. It's the start of the Sett Valley Trail, and the site of The Torrs and Archimedes Screw I posted earlier this year.

Yes. Though we can't quite see the Rock Tavern from here. It's on the other side of the ravine and obscured by trees.

I can walk it, through the Torrs, in about 5 minutes. But it's not my "local". I've never been in it.

This is my local - five minutes' walk in the other direction - and they have a beer garden too.
