oh well,   managed to get petrol this morning,  first three were empty,  got to Sainsbury and they were queueing for a closed petrol station,  but after 30 minutes they opened so I jumped into the queue.   Not sure why they had fuel but they had the closed no fuel signs out.

Mine was Red Admiral ( I had a red car with a black vinyl roof - very stylish at the time) and so the butterfly reference as I flitted about everywhere in it.  Programmimg languages in my day were Fortran, Cobol, PascaL

ROSCOE was a mainframe scripting language for automating tasks at the OS level.  Not really designed for running jobs like Cobol was mostly used for.

FORTRAN was the main focus of my college studies, as I worked in the Chemical industry at the time.  Then an abrupt career change in the mid'70s left that all behind.
