Just returned from a spontaneous trip to Amsterdam to pick up a 2nd hand solid wood tabletop for our 2nd daughter.
I'm going to make a desk of it.
Fun fact : it was bought in London 10 years ago.

Oh man. So much for reliable news.

I know,   some petrol stations have now set a £30 limit on fuel and many have a no can sign up which is going to make things tricky for the lawn mower.

And we really like to reclaim wood in our house.

I am fist going to cut it to the right size and treat it properly (sanding, etc.)
But I need to find a way to make a nice round cut, since I want to cut one corner that will block the door too much if I leave it 90degrees.

I have easy fuel on the car which makes it really difficult to syphon it out afterwards,  there is a blocker in the pipe,  but its nice as you dont have a cap on the filler you just open the flap and put the nozzle in.

Its going to be a while before all the cars are electric, let alone when the trucks are converted.

Yeah, it is just the corner. But quite a large cut.
The cutting point is 22cm from the corner, so it is quite a bit.
I have seen furniture makers using them indeed for this.
I will ask around in my 'circle of acquaintances'. 2 of them are experienced woodworkers, so they should be able to get me going.

Even if they ban new cars,   it will take a long time to filter through.  The hardest part I think with owning an ICA car is going to be the maintenance of it,  as they disappear the repair shops will transition to electric vehicles and the knowledge for engines will disappear.
