Not to forget the grid that has to be upgraded too.

I expect it will,  but Ive seems reports from the UK national grid saying that they could manage it.

The real issue (at least here) is the peak in power production when there is a lot of sunlight or wind.
The grid was never designed for these kind of flows.

That is another issue indeed.
We are relying more on unreliable energy sources (wind / solar) that in some cases there is too little power on the grid.....
Still a lot to learn.

I thinks that’s what’s triggered the need to install cables like this. We have a few into France as well.  I think they are also hoping if exporting power on days when we have excess generation.

That said its turning into quite a good year,  early in the year Tilda rice found my picture of their factory and asked to use it in their global sustainability report,   they even sent me a lot of rice as a thank you.
