Saw it on the BBC website this morning

Holy crap.  And wonder who they made get into the water to retrieve the mini 2? LOL

Apparently they thought that OA would move it out the way if the croc got too close.

Wow.  Looks like the score is Croc - 1, Drone - 0.

I think I read somewhere that it was found by park employees on the  bank just out of the water.  Pretty chewed up.

Yes, they think the croc decided it was 'junk food" and dumped it out of the water...Good to see the Mini 2 being used professionally and a nice ornament for the office?

I lie, they think the croc may have dumped it on the river bank in disgust on finding it inedible!

Was a Mini 2, so not the most expensive of kit and good to see it being used professionally. Cannot be great for ythe environment to leave a lithium ion battery in a river, glad they recovered / found it.

Having it hanging on the wall is definitely a good reminder for them to not fly too close to wildlife in the future.

Just a reminder that wildlife like crocodiles are part of our natural environment and I'm sure they're not familiar to the drones that is why they react aggressively when they notice it. Thank you DJI Stephen for your wisdom. Thankfully, we do not have any native crocodiles here in East Anglia. We do have a few seal colonies, but think it would be foolhardy and cruel to fly a drone at low levels above them,

yeah this crocodile was annoyed

Yes, should not go so close to the croc...am hoping to film the seals here, but will be from 100 metres up so as not to cause them annoyance  / distress.
