The editing is different than I'm used too.
Are you using other software?

I used a program called Muvee Reveal.  It does the editing automatically.  Throw in the clips and music, pic a style and it does the rest.  It is limited to 1080P output but can take higher res input.  Very inexpensive.

Ah, I never heard of that.
But I think I'd rather do it myself.
I'm not a big fan of all these effects myself.
And I have to find the first big screen production that uses them

I agree.  However I have found they make very good slideshow videos of pictures.
