The video feed freezes often with the Mini 2.  Very scary and fear of lossing expensive drone.  Using DJI app version 1.4.8 on Pixel XL 3, but other phones have the same problem. All firm ware updates have been done. There are several users on the forum with the same issue and no response from DJI.   Thx!!

If you are still using 1.4.8 (1120) try using 1.4.8 (1185). You can find out where to download it from by doing a quick search on this forum.

Where did you get 1.4.8 (1185)? I found someone that posted a dropbox link on the forum but is there no official release?

Make sure nothing else is running on the phone (best if can get a phone that is only used for flying and not used for anything else.) Delete all unused apps. Reboot the phone right before using it. Turn on Airplane mode. Try a different USB cable.

And, although this might seem like a strange advice: check whether the phone-holder is not pushing any phone buttons during flight. I have had issues with that in the past.

This, is something you might need to do if you have an older phone where low amount of free RAM is an issue, tho I have the same issue on my Galaxy S21 Ultra and regular S21 where there are no memory issues at all.

If all that advice fails, then I know that quite a few members on here have had success by reverting back to Fly App version 1.4.2 or 1.4.4 You could give that a go!

FYI..Version 1185 did NOT solve the problem.

See what you get with 1.4.2 or 1.4.4   Other members on here reported good things when doing this.

Just took about a 10 minute flight around my yard and back up the driveway. App crashed about a dozen times. I live in the middle of nowhere on top of a mountain. Interference should not be a problem. I expected more from dji.... Fix the app so I can use the thing!!

I know this sounds condescending, but, restart your phone. Turn off ALL unnecessary apps and services. Then give it a try. As it is, your phone is not capable of running the app. Turning everything off may allow it to work.

Not condescending at all. I'll give it a go. I don't generally have a lot of things running on my phone though and have zero issues with anything else. But it's for sure worth a shot.

i do not but i decided i was going to just uninstall and reinstall and i noticed there is a new version now. i had 1.4.8 and now they have 1.4.12 so hopefully that will do it

so far 1.4.12 seems better for me

Well that was short lived. Video is better but the att thing doesn't show home location and controller icon seems to be stuck with the drone. And Ive totally lost the front led. Going to try 1.4.4 I guess.
