Still shows as V1.4.8 but when you download you get V1.4.12.  

I think that another new feature is the live streaming option in the top of transmission menu.

The home point location is Jacked up bad.  Surely, I am not the only one?

I am waiting until it has more time to be tested and used by others because the previous app version caused my S21 to go black screen while flying, so I went to a previous version.

nope. That is a problem for all of us.
The homepoint keeps hiding underneath the triangle drone icon. Turning the drone on it's side gets it jumping around. For the mini 2, a lesser problem is that you can't change colors of the frontled.
But the homepoint is very handy when you want to find out where the drone is pointing at.

Do NOT install, my battery capacity didn't go down, custom stick steering doesn't work, front light changing doesn't work... almost crashed... back to 1.4.8! Fortunately a friend still had the apk!

Doesn't sound like a step forward, DJI we don't want to mess up working functions to add new ones.

There are some sloppy display issues, but I've used the map instead of the compass and it works fine for finding my way home. RTH works fine too. I haven't seen the altitude error, but by all reports the drone lands properly. This version seems to have better range with Air 2S and the Smart Controller, so that's a positive. I flew for several hours with no blackouts, the maps worked fine for orienting the drone to my position. DJI should never have let this one out without adequate testing, but they are no better or worse  than Apple, Microsoft, Adobe or many others in that respect. It flys well, I can live without the compass until DJI fixes the glitch.

I had updated to version 1.4.12 but there is a problem with the app's compass, it prevents me from determining the direction of the pilot and the plane. Hope the company fixes this compass error soon. I'm using samsung s10.

I have always found the map view to be way more useful.  I've never understood why people use the compass display instead.

Using the compass to determine the direction of aircraft control helps to transmit better waves and easily control the aircraft to return without looking at the map.

It seems DJI has just released the 1.4.12 build 1410, has anyone tried it yet. Perhaps they fixed the compass - home point issue.

Just came in from trying it out. Everything is as it should be. The compass is correct. The front LED control is back. The streaming option is there. Distance is a little better than before. ZERO problems. I had to sign in, then set unit measurement. The flight records also show up under "Profile" immediately, they were taking a few minutes.

Now, DJI - LEAVE IT ALONE!!!!

Why would I want to take a chance of updating , when my done is fine? Seems kind of silly to take a chance of screwing it up with a update that I'm not getting much out of.

Version 1.4.12 (1410) has optimized the camera view according to the installed image ratio 3:2 or 16:9 on the phone screen.

Different strokes for different folks I guess…

With OcuSync, I don’t have control link issues so pointing roughly in the right direction is always more than good enough of a signal.  If I don’t know roughly where my drone is in the sky without looking at a screen, I’ve become situationally unaware and have become a safety risk.   Also, if I were to get disoriented, the map has a red line on it for the shortest path back home.  


Not to mention all of the additional visual information available to help with situational awareness.  Am I over the road?  Am I over the building?  Have I reached the tree line yet?  Etc, etc...

That's exactly what I do. I never use the compass but I have the map and visually know where I am.

Have they completely removed the option to update through the app internally or it just takes some time until the update appears there as well?

I think it takes some time to show up automatically inside the DJI FLY app

Just  had 2 flights of the Mini2 with 1.4.12 (1410) on the Smart Controller; everything works fine. Compass is working correctly, as it also did on 1.4.8.

Yes, it works flawlessly. Today we have and a new firmware

Can I fly Mavic Air 2 with DJI Go 4? I use that with my Spark and Android phone and iPad, just got a second hand Air 2 with no instructions.
