Why do DJI continue to release new versions, but never announce them, provide release notes or even update the page that the download link is on? If the rest of the company operated in the same way as their website people, the company would be non-existent now.

I am sorry but we were just assigned only with Technical Concern and we have limited access only for this one. The one working with our software updates are our engineers on the facility, they are the one in charge with this and for sure they have a reason for this update to provide additional features or maybe fixation of any issues. Just like other software, it needs update to improve the app's performance and other features that it can provide to the customers.

AND  i cannot find the flightrecords in the app, looks if the txt files are hidden or ??

Wow. Going to avoid this one then thanks for the heads up JJB!

Why are DJI so sloppy, the download pages states it's V1.4.8, but it is actually V1.4.12. So downloaded, will instal and see if anything has changed.  They should have change log, someone at DJI is very sloppy IMHO.

Yikes! Many/most phones have problems just running the Fly app alone before crashing, overheating or getting a blank screen. Wonder what the added load of live streaming will do!

Lot of coments on youtube about it. I have the same issue. The home point jumps around too. I have gone back to 1.4.8.. it fixed it.

"yellow" home point stays hidden under the crafts icon. However RTH does work.
Turning the landed aircraft on it's side the yellow icon starts jumping around. Wondering what it is indicating but certainly not the home point.

.... again.  I was hoping this would fix the snafus in 1.4.8
Get a patch out within 48 hrs, shouldn't take 6mos

For me, the compass also lost all functionality, since it stopped showing the position of the drone in relation to the place of take-off. Quick back to 1.4.8.

Me neither. Same issue here. Not a big problem, but I'm going back to 1.4.8 (1185); the version that works for me.

DJI software team made a real mess out of this update.  Wonder how long it will take them to fix this new mess.

I reverted back to 1.4.8 (1185).

I've been critical before about the bugs that creep into these new updates, but this one is a doozy.

Ignoring the lack of information and website update, from the comments above this new update has introduced the following problems:

- Radar compass/att indicator not working
- Missing/hidden flight records
- H icon disappeared
- No control over front LED

They appear to have added the following though:

- Live streaming

And I've kept the best problem to last. Check out the video that George GR posted (link in post #31 above). Make sure you're sitting down for this.

The Home point on the compass is getting it's position from the distance travelled. As the drone moves away from the 'proper' home point, the indicator moves in a clockwise direction, with the distance being a direct correlation to the angle on the compass, so 90m has the indicator at 90 degrees, 180m at 180 degrees, etc. It continues above 360 with 450m being at 90 degrees. As the distance decreases, the indicator moves anti-clockwise, again tying distanace to angle.

Assuming that the big change in the app was the addition of live streaming (until DJI tell us otherwise), there should be absolutely no way that it would cause so many other issues.

Same for me. I have on my phone all the latest versions of the fly app from the last 1.3.0. Just in case!

I've only ever put three videos on YouTube taken with the drone, and never even linked to them anywhere, so live streaming for me is as useful as a chocolate teapot.

There have lots of requests for DJI to implement various features on the Mini 2. Has live streaming been one of the most requested?

Live streaming to say Youtube is only possible with 1000 or more subscribers anyway

I really do not care if live broadcasting is important to you! There are many applications that you can use.
to be able to make a live broadcast on youtube you want 1000 subscribers!
version 1.4.12 has serious bugs,
I wish you when live broadcast, not to lose or your drone falls, and then you cry
for me like everyone else the key is the serious mistakes and not the live broadcast

Calm down a little…

OMG !

I tested this version 1.4.12!

Not only is the compass messed up but the flight logs are now here

This PC\Galaxy S9\Phone\Android\data\dji.go.v5\files\FlightRecord

and you cant reset the advanced gimbal settings

You can easily live stream to facebook instead of youtube, ive tested it have a look at the video I did on it

So, what options users of new Iphones have? Do we need a version for ios 15 (which seems like a buggy mess) or is it possible to use 1.4.8 on iphone 13 (if so, how to install it)?
