3 Flights using 1.4.12 on Android, on my Air and Mini2.
See the too long video.

Compass / attitide indicator useless.

In the video
25 secs > HP is right to the drone, indicates forward!
25 secs > flying away and blue dot + HP circling....(uh?)
3m22s > Blue dot + HP in the center now, distance out = 925 meter...
5m47s > Looks if craft is above HP  dots to the outer ring.
9m58s > Arrow on dot now green!  and later again blue   (what does green means?)
12m43 > Dots on the outerring, but at wrong position....

Next i uses my other device with version 1.4.8. and no problem at all

AND

The flightlog.txt are not in a FLIGHTRECORD map, maps are fewer than on .8
Not sure but log is now in a "flightrecord_db_0.0.1.db, this file was synced at the other device....DateTime mark correct to the time of flying...

Does this mean that from now on all flights are really unreadable ??
Can other v1.4.12 users check their DJI/dji.go.v5/   for sub maps ? map FLIGHTRECORDS there??

Per your video it appears things are really messed up with this latest version of the Fly App.  When the rain stops here I'm going to test fly new App version on my Mini, Mini 2 and Air 2 and see what results I get.  

That doesn't look too clever JJB!

I think that another new feature is the live streaming option in the top of transmission menu.

Sounds like I am going to skip this one too.  I am staying at 1.4.2 as I distrust 1.4.8 and was hoping to read good news about the one after it...   My latests experiences with 1.4.2 have been stable and all I need.  

Watching and reading here for more results.  Thanks Jjjb* for the info.

Guess it has something with compatibility to the latest Android version, but not sure about this.

No issues here, but from the other hand i do not use the compass ,i use the map. Tested on Mini 2, Air2 and Air2S with S21 ultra.

i use the compass view as standard, as it is nice and small on the screen.

But wish the DJI skip this compass/att indicator in toto and replace it with the Go4 one.
That one uses the user as reference point so 100% better to use to know where the drone is in the air relative to the RC.

I didn't have any problems with the new update, except for the radar that no longer works

Hi guys today while trying the live stream which works very well I noticed another problem on the map.
After clicking on the mini map to enlarge it, I did not see the update. It got updated and opened on the right position, only after a minute or so.

Same for me! Staying with 1.4.4 and ignoring new versions for now, just not stable enough!

Another problem:  the RTMP works only without secure server.  The RTMPS of Facebook didn't work.

I think that at this point, given the numerous times DJI has released software versions, not called beta but still not working properly, DJI should create a much larger group of people of official beta testers.
These beta testers must declare their smartphone, perhaps have a series of predefined tests to be carried out plus others at random.
Additionally, DJI should provide them a complete change log.
Official beta testers must demonstrate analytical and reporting skills and a good understanding of the drone and technology

All previous functionality must be checked every time

In short, a normal beta testing activity

this is hilarious...  as many drones and releases as they have done through the years and they still haven't done something like this means they are unlikely to spend the time actually testing before release.

Has anyone tested the FlyApp v1.4.12 (1410-official) they just released earlier today to replace the 1386 ?

Someone says that the RTMP setting has gone with the 1410. I have still there.

Well, I was able to made only two shorter flights this weekend with old app. Now I see there is another build of .12 Fly App. There were update popups but no inapp update available this time? Still .8 app and it sais it is up to date...
