Did a sphere this morning and was sadly disappointed in the Skypixel rendition - badly stitched

That is a bit disappointing indeed.  Not sure what happened as Skypixel usually does a better job.

I've had disappointing stitching failures with some of the free software around. PTGui does a good job, but the price of the paid version rather than the demo is exhorbitant

I tend towards the same sentiment. Some things are worth shelling out for, but a price tag north of 300 quid rules it out.

There is a part missing according to autopano Giga.
Not sure if it is correct, since sea can be hard to stitch due to the moving of the waves.

Ouch,  that didnt stick well at all.     Did you move the drone mid process?

I sent the entire folder contents - if a section is missing it was possibly not written and I did I did not move the drone.
What I will say is that this was on the latest FLY app version 1.4.12

The other thing I noted was that I could not find the flight logs, however they uploaded and were available on my other phone.

Besides, if there was a part missing there would be a gap in the file name/numbers

Photoshop can fix that.  Content aware fill should do that with ease.

Yeah, it probably can.
But it is strange, as the drone should not have generated this.

I agree.  Looks like an image is missing or it moved between shots.

There are 26 and no gap in numbers, so it does not look like there is one missing.

I have not tried 360's on my M2 yet.
So I can't tell if they work well.

Oh be done a few and they’ve actually stitched better than the m2p. Less horizon issues. But that could just be luck.

Just remember that they Stich in your phone so won’t appear on the sd card so you have to save them from DJI fly.

But I'm also curious about stitching the raw files (jpeg) since I like to edit them on forehand (gives better results in the sphere)

If there would be a good standing point : yes.
But there is none.
In fact the place is fenced like mad.
The only way to get a proper view these days is via a drone.

Me too.
I'm 2/3 with the raw editing.
After that I know about how long the music has to be.
It will be the longest piece of music I ever made, that is for sure.
