Had a SPECTACULAR day to get the MM up in the air last week and capture some footage for the Montauk Historical Society showing the progress on the 2 year revetment stabilization project. The outermost Toe Stones have all been set and they are starting on the next phase of construction.

Great footage. That's some pretty major earthworks there to preserve the lighthouse.

Thanks for watching Blériot53.... you are NOT kidding. They are literally moving a MOUNTAIN of granite from upstate New York to Montauk by truck for this project...  The "Toe Stones" weigh in at 15 TONS each and had to be transported 2 at a time in 18 wheelers.

Hey DowntownRDB thanks for watching...   it really is despite many issues the contractor has had to deal with the progress is steady.... and, now that the UNDERWATER Toe Stones are all set the progress will be even more evident as they start on the "bench" portion of the structure.
