Hey guys, I have over 200 flights with the A model. I ordered when the Inspire 1 was announced in NOV 14.

I've read every single crash/fly away post on all the pages/forums. I've put together a comprehensive pre-flight checklist that, I believe, prevents every preventable problem. Also, it's way cool, because it lights up the boxes as you check them. And you get a green light when all the boxes are checked.

Yes, I welcome feedback!! Also, we are working on turning his into an app so that you can use it offline. Thanks!

For me, it's a pain when I forget to: Format Memory Card!
Great check list!

Hi jason, You don't worry about a compass calibration or did I miss this in the list?

I really like the shirt, just a bit cheesy looking to actually wear. Maybe I will make some flyers.

Thank you!  Nice job on the checklist and t-shirts!  I would add an explicit item for Calibrate Compass (with notation to do so away from cars, cell phones, and other potential interference).  Also add Calibrate IMU (not just check it) after any firmware upgrade (per advice I received from DJI).

Crumbs, that's quite a list. I don't bother with pre flight checks or Imu & compass calibration and my flights are often 100 miles apart and I've flown 100's of K's over score and scores and scores of flights but rarely above 15 meters.

But Im always aware of the condition of my I1. Common sense peeps

Pre flight checklists are very important!  It's a simple step to reducing in-flight problems that may cause damage to the craft or injuries to pilot and spectators.  The FAA is asking that pilots have pre flight checklists when  seeking the 333 exemptions.  Jason you have done a great job putting the list together. I do like the suggestions about the compass calibrations and the memory card. I would probably add it to the list.  I'm guessing that in New Zealand the population is less, so the risk is reduced in the event of a mid-hap. I'm not sure why anyone would want to take any unnecessary risks with an expensive piece of equipment.

I a great one for getting out in the field and finding I forgot my memory car, transmitter, batteries or something. I have a bad case of CRS, a checklist will help
