Sorry for posting a lot but im having a problem. (P3A)
My current firmware version is 1.1.5 and I want to updte to 1.1.8. So I downloaded the 1.1.8 file, formated the sd card, plugged the phantom into the computer and put the bin file in the root directory. I do not have a card reader so I had to plug the phantom in directly. Then i ejected the disk, turned off the controller and turned the phantom on. And nothing happens. It preps for flight like usual. After about 10 minutes of it doing nothing, flashing yello rapidly and making no gimbal noise I turned it off and here is the text file:

Packet: P3S_FW_V01.01.0008.bin
Result: Abort.
The firmware on the SD card is identical to or older than the current firmware on the aircraft.



Now the app says the phantom is running 1.1.9 until I restart the app. Then is goes back to saying its running 1.1.5. Can someone pleeease help me out?

Are you using the Android app by any chance?
I noticed that the Android app would show N/A or 1.1.5 ... an iPad showed 1.2.6

Michael,
to show in Pilot app the correct version after update, sometimes you need to do the following steps:
1/ switch on RC
2/ switch on P3
3/ connect your TAB or Phone to the Internet (of course Tab/phone just connected to the RC)
4/ start your Pilot app
After that, verify which version show you Pilot app,, if it is still not last updated version restart only Pilot app.

so the Pilot app won't show the version of the R/C?  Does the new DJI Go show the r/c revision?
