Hi there

I've been on a wait list for a DJI smart controller and sadly yesterday was informed they're now discontinued :-(

Can anyone help with my options now?

Is there something new on the horizon?

Is there a 3rd part - quality - alternative?

Before I buy a second hand one - anything I shoudl know? Is there a quality resason it was stopped?

I fly proffesionally but only as a secondary video service - our reception on the controller often drops and I need something better. Plus its nice to have the phone back whilst flying!

So if anyone can offer any help it would be greatly appreciated.

I've now rung a few on the list and they are all seem to feel the same way.

Are you able to confirm if the item has been discontinued or if it's just held up due to supply issues?

There seems to be a lot of confusion with the stores. As I've already been on a long waiting list I didn't want to go to the back of another one only to learn the same fate. If it's discontinued, I know I can then look at the second hand market.

This is what I'm hereing from suppliers:

Unfortunately, our supplier has advised that your DJI ( CP.MA.00000078 ) DJI Smart Controller has been discontinued and unfortunately there are not any alternatives. We have now removed this from your order.

Eventually the RC2 (replacement for the Smart Controller V1) will ship independent of the Mavic 3. Until they set up a separate SKU, no other answers that I am aware of other than a phone or tablet.

We should see the new smart controller by the end of the month,  just wait a little longer.
