On the history of the eighteenth-century chapel of Tavagnasco dedicated to the Magdalene and to St. Anna we have only a few information, available thanks to the now dated writing by Carlo Benedetto: “Tavagnasco, its civil and religious history. Ivrea, Garda, 1923 ". While on the probable previous building of worship on which the church was founded, perhaps a small aedicule, practically nothing is known. This religious building located at an altitude of 1,400 meters above sea level, was used as a branch of the main parish in the summer months, when the majority of the population settled with the herds at high altitude in the surrounding pastures. Once upon a time these rural areas were very lively, and the contact with the sacred was more felt and evident.
