Don't forget to plug all batteries into the MA2 one after the other - if several are available - and run the update process again!

It is best to use the DJI Assistant 2 and connect the MA2 to the PC using a USB cable ...

So this means flying with the previous firmware is not safe anymore? How could it have been in the past then?

How to be sure with the new one there's no compass going mad? Or no visual sensor is turning blank? Or RC-connection is gonna freeze?

Each of the latest DJI fly-apps had massive bugs programmed, that could have been fixed before releasing, if DJI only would do any basic testing.
All issues had to be experienced by customers, before DJI even realized the bugs.

I'll wait and see... There's not even a hint of a discription in what means "flight safety" was "optimized".

To me DJI is not trustworthy until updates are released fully tested, well documented and are completely reliable.

Since ipados15 and ios15 were launched
My controller is having a lot of issues, 99% of the time it cannot get connected to the drone
I hve changed cables, tried different ipads and different iphones

I have the most updated os in the mobile devices and in the fly app

I had to tutn off- turn on several times (like half an hour on each time i changed the battery) to make it connect
So i could update the firmware on each battery (i have 4 batteries)

What could be the problem? If everything is up to date

And i just found out that after like 4-5 mins of been connected, the control gets disconnected from the drone

I have tried 3 different cables and the problem persist, so i dont think the cables are damaged

That method dose not work!

AFTER I UPGRADED I LOST THE ABILITY TO FLY MORE THAN 30 METERS HIGH WITHOUT BEING LOGGED INTO AN ACCOUNT.  I was using an old smartphone without cell/network service.  After the upgrade, I could not fly more than 30 meters high without first logginng in online.  I wish there would have been a warning from DJI stating that installing this update would severely limit my ability to fly until I sign in again.  After some difficulty, I was able to find and use WiFi to sign in on my old smartphone and then I was able to disconnect from WiFi and fly without that artificial limit again.

What I meant was if you upgrade, you will have to log in to your account in order to fly above 30 meters.  I edited my post to make it clearer.

ah ok, I'm logged anyway.

All nice and great, but I can't update because the Asssistant App hasn't been updated for macOS yet.
Please, with a cherry on top, fix this soon!

EDIT: weird enough, it worked this time with the same version. So on current 11.6 I got the mavic assistant to work. Happy now ;)

Why do we need a new assistant app for almost every single drone anyway? Isn't it possible to create a single drone assistant app and update it as necessary for the different drones? That way it should be much easier to keep the assistant app current for all systems, because it's only one of them you guys have to deal with. How about creating one base app with an api system for the drones correspondance. So even if different teams would be working on them, they would base it on the assistant app api and not create a new system every 6-12 months ;)
DJI has way too many apps anyway... it's a jungle! Not really a user centered experience ;)

If I update to this version, can I fly above 30 meters in an area that doesn't have WiFi or Cellular service (wilderness)?

To my understanding, as long as you log into your account when you have a connection, you are fine. The app never loged me out when I was out of range of connection.

Ontem 15/11 liguei meu mavic air 2 para voo e houve uma atualização. Ao fazer o voo procurei pela função ZOOM e simplesmente não apareceu na tela. Alguém teve esse mesmo problema? Já fiz de tudo procurando uma solução e até agora nada. {: 4_166:}
Só aparecem as opções do print.
