Since the recent update to Terra version:  3.1.2, the GPU in my heavily spec'ed platform (I9 +  3090 GPU) seems to be used a lot less and the CPU is getting hammered.   The GPU hasn't been above 5% for the majority of the 700 P1 image reconstruction 3D build against 700 photos I am currently doing.  While I have not taken specific metrics in the past, I don't remember it being this underutilised before.   Has anyone had any other experience recently?   I was considering getting a second GPU, but at present, there is absolutely no benefit to be gained.

Interesting to read - I've just come here looking to see how much the GPU can take the CPU load - This is just with a Quadro P620 - currently it's only a few percent used - and wondered if a GPU would do some proper work - it appears not!
