It's been a year since I posted my Pocket 2 review Part 1 here.

It's late already but here I conclude my review Part 2...





Overall, I don't own Pocket 2 any more...
After many defects I received... I had to let it go...



1st Defect

Lens was ok but it had shakey gimbal mount.

The most dusty lens so far...




DJI was paitient enough to give me 5 replacement Pocket 2...
But I was unluckey enough not getting one without a defect.

It was a year ago when Pocket 2 first came out and I think this defect was an isolated incident since I don't see any other with same problem.

I just wanted to update what happened.

Talk about a streak of bad luck... sorry to see your problems. No wonder if you are disheartened after all of this.

You would have thought after the second one someone would have inspected what the sent out. I thought i had bad luck.
Edit after watching your video i see you pocked them up from the store, such a pity you hit a bad batch?

I have to say I have looked for new videos from you from time to time but now I am glad to see that you are alive and hopefully well, even if none of your Pockets are!  It's a very sad story.  A number of reviewers whose opinions I trust continue to re-review the Pocket 2 (and 1) in glowing terms.  And of courseI love mine.  But I confess that despite that passion on my side, I have never looked deep into their eyes to see if there is any dust or other contaminants in there.   I really hope that even now, DJI will send you one that has been inspected by some employee who knows that one speck of dust would represent a career decision..

What a string of bad luck.  Maybe when the Pocket 3 comes out you can try again.  I bought a used P2 and love it.

I look at my pocket today after 12 months and I cannot see as much of a spec of dust and no scratches, even magnifying its very clean. Because of your problems last year its something I’ve regularly checked and no problems. the OP2 is really excellent camera, yes some SW problems particularly for some bloggers. But overall its a camera that offers a lot to its users.
You have had extremely bad luck , but I wonder with the constant dust on the lens and scratches, was DJI manufacturing some OP in conditions not suited to such delicate manufacturing, where dust was prevalent in the air and overall conditions not conducive to correct manufacturing of this product.
You posted some great evidence and followed up by trying almost everything to allow dji to correct these problems without success. You are to be admired for your patience and diligence and if dji want to salvage anything from this it should be to award you with a FREE Gratis OA2.
I’m truly sorry you had this experience as we all know around here of your love for OP1 and your continued posts and participation here on this forum continually helping others was greatly missed. Hopefully OA2 will bring better memories for you “Good Luck”
