Hi all,
we are working on a project for the rescue at sea. We are using Matrice300 RTK that will take-off/landing from/on a boat.
We are connecting with the aircraft using mobile SDK.
Would love to hear your thoughts on how we can maintain the aircraft "near" to the boat, without that a pilot taking care of that, maintaining the cameras control to monitor the sea.
Furthermore, we have some doubts on how to manage critical cases like:
1) Smart controller not reachable;
2) Stuck app;
It's clear that in our scenario we must avoid the "go home" feature, the boat continues to move even if the connection is faulty.
Our solution cannot guarantee that an operator is able to swing into action quickly. Assuming that no operator can use the smart-controller, does exist a solution that guarantees less chance of losing the aircraft in the sea? Do you have any suggestions? Can we use the function "setConnectionFailSafeBehavior"?
If we use HOVER as "aircraft failsafe action" what is the aircraft behavior? Is it possible to drag it using a tethered cable (we have already chosen Elistar SAFET 2), or it will make resistance?
