Hi there
I wonder what Dji will do to make sure flying P4P v.2.0 after 1. January. 2023 will be legal after the new EU rules.

Will it be possible to make a software update to ensure flying with Phantom 4 pro v2.0 after 31.12.2022 or what will happen?

Thanks

Hi, there. Thank you for reaching out. The standards are not published yet but under development with active involvement of DJI. Once the standards have been confirmed by the regulatory authorities and notified bodies are in place, we will be working on assuring compliance for relevant products accordingly. We will publish a list on our website that shows which products will be included in retroactive CE class identification labelling.
All DJI drones can be used in the “limited” Open Category with certain restrictions until 31st December, 2022 and beyond. You could find an overview of DJI products being used in limited open category here: https://www.dji.com/uk/newsroom/ ... u-drone-regulation.

EASA said in the December FAQ that retrospective classification will require the drone to be returned to the manufacturer.    After Jan 2022 its still legal to fly this drone as a legacy drone as long as you stay 150m away from people/structures/parks/beaches etc

I use the phantom 4 pro in both parks and i city areas in the community, so 150 meter not good news. I hope this model will be CE classified in one way or another. Its just one year since it was bought, so DJi have to come up with a solution.
P4P is not in the link?

At the weight of >1.3kg the rules already stop you using that drone <150m in those areas,  the only option really is a Mini2 without classification.

PS,  Its got a CE mark,   is the Cx classification that it is missing.

Yes the  Cx classification, thanks  :-)As I had a flying licens before January 1 2021, I can still use the old Danish national rules at least until 31. December 2022 and fly closer to people.
