PSA: 1.4.12 released for IOS.


Just did a 15 minute flight and live streamed for 9 minutes and all worked well,  even whilst doing timed shots.

Only down side is you cant see whats happening in the chat on Youtube.

I think not being able to see the chat is a youtube issue as their connection is only
one way.    Now I realise that I can have a second device ready.  

One nice to have would be streaming the screen rather than the video feed.

where did you find the livestream?i updated to the latest version bu still cant find any option for live stream...

Its under transmission from the menu under the three dots top right.  You need your RTMP URL from YouTube to activate it.

Well, when i connect my dji fpv to my phone i get the camera view, but there are no dots in the top right corner, only a back to menu < sign in the top left corner

Think you have to have a Mavic for this.

think so too, sad for it is not available for fpv users that are using dji fly as well. :-(

Bottom line was the test was a success.  Now if you could live stream your display that would be a plus.

I agree.  Having that as an option could give a more behind the scenes feel to it.

It was.  And I had a thought about the bit if jitter.  I put the controller down a few times in the car and got weak signal message.  (I was trying to look at the other phones live stream). It may have been the cause of the stuttering.  More tests to come.

Unlikely. More likely to see it in the mini3 if they need to compete more.

Hmmm.  It appears the EU just changed the rules on drones from weight to MTOM even in the sub 250g category making it even harder to fly again.

We separated from the EU and basically made a point in time copy of the rules,   so at the moment we are deviating from the new EASA rules but only time will tell if we copy them or d something different.

Theres some debate now about the M3.  The current rules say <900g MTOM and its exactly 900grams weight.  So will be interesting to see if there is some leeway.

I can't find the video now but I remember one rumoring an M3 exclusively for Europe with a slightly lighter battery.

I think that would be the way forward,  but I suspect they would have to engineer it so that the USA batteries did not work,  although that shouldn't be too hard.

I'm sure that is doable.  If I understand it right the big obstacle to overcome is the C rating for the UK flyers.

Im hoping that the UK doesn't go down a rabbit hole and want their own C marking thats got different rules,   its beginning to seem that might happen.

Unfortunately, I'm sure the FAA here is watching what is going on in other places also.  Seems like they would like to push recreational flyers out of the hobby.

You do see rumours that the FAA want more restrictions.
