That town has a population of 33000 approx.  This is what we would call an industrial estate on the outskirts.   It has small factories and shops like tile & diy places.  Theres also a car dealer or two there and the fire brigade and ambulance stations as its a central location.   Years ago the firestation was in a residential street 8 houses up from where I grew up so we saw it very often.

Awwwww, how freaken cute!  And that's a huge town.  My hometown is a pop of about 2500. LOL

Yes @Montfrooij inspires us for a lot of shots,   usually including trains.    In fact I think I will go out later and try and catch a train sunset shot for him.   He'd like that.

If I understand correctly you wanted to make a tire swing but didn’t have any rope so you through the tire Into the water.

I will try to explain this to the best of my abilities

The first sentence 'Ik heb er wel een band mee' means 2 things.
I have a connection with this.
And I have a tire with me (sort off)

The second sentence is about making a swing of the tire.
And I use a saying that is about ropes and understanding something.
So I don't understand it. (translates to Ik kan er geen touw aan vastknopen).
And when you do that (tie a rope to the tire ) you can make a swing. So again a double meaning.

The last one is more difficult to translate.
Een losbandig leven means a licentious life.
(according to Google)
But it also contains the word 'band', which is a tire....

Its a weird saying because most of the hard core mountain bikers back then didnt care what the weather was like to go out,   Nothing better than wizzing through a forest in the rain,  the smell is amazing.
