Fourth part of my Northumberland and Cumbria (UK) journey.
Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens were still closed when I got there early in the morning. Strong wind prevented more smooth shots. The castle dates from medieval times, was added to in 1614 and abandoned for the Hall around 1807.
An fpv stop on a field resulted in an uncontrolled hard landing and the breaking of my GoPro mount.
Brinkburn Priory couldn't be reached by drone because of strong winds. Still lovely to behold with the Osmo alone.
Warkworth Castle a hillside stronghold with an imposing keep.
Alnwick Castle (not English Heritage) is a huge, mostly intakt and the site of the first Harry Potter series (learning to fly).
Edlingham Castle is a delightful keep with a part of the wall trying to tumble down and a bridge in the background. Winds were crazy so not much smooth flying there. Next to it is the beautiful little 11th century church.
Dunstanburgh Castle was closed because of high winds (so the sign said after a 1 mile walk). The Mini 2 fought like crazy against the wind - lost at early afternoon and won at my next visit a couple of hours later.
Preston Tower is a lovely little tower for small emergencies that is surprisingly slim.
Finally Bamburgh Castle, intakt and sitting mightily on a rock next to the sea.
DJI Mini 2, DJI FPV drone with a GoPro Hero 6/Reelsteady, DJI Osmo Pocket.
Another lovely series, Depp. Did you see Harry Potter or his chums at Alnwick Castle? We took the grandchildren there several years ago - the same trip where we stopped off to see the Angel of the North.

Very nice. Looking back in our archives I see it was October 2016 we were there.
Did you 3D print the GoPro mount or did you purchase it?
I had a friend print it. But he printed it in the hard material so I had to painstakingly heat and then form it to fit. For some reason he can't print in the soft material.
Now I ordered one and hope it arrives soon.

Just a difference in some 3D printers I guess. Glad you got one on order.
