after many years using the classic Mavic Pro,  I have switch to Air 2S, mainly because the camera improvement.   I use Litchi a lot specially because of the waypoints.  just find out litchi is not supported and even worst the DJI FLy app does not support waypoint either (unless you use hyperlapse)

is there a way to make litchi works with Air 2S?  anyone knows if they have plans to support it?   

DJI should include regular waypoints as a feature in the app,  and make it available offline and keep it as long as you can same as litchi

We’re waiting for the next release of the sdk before it can be added to litchi.   Always worth keeping an eye on the DJI GitHub page.

We believe this time will come soon.     We greatly appreciate your patience.
Once this happens Litchi can create a version that will work with the Air 2s, maybe.

So finally a confirmed date.  Seems like the date has slid a time or two though.  Hopefully, this time it will be released on 31 DEC.  I'm sure Litchi will get on the SDK soon after it's release.

Hey Stephen,
as you are part of DJI,  I love your HW and just upgrade to Air 2S, really impressed with the image quality compared with Mavic Pro First-generation .   

But honestly, you are missing out on the SW.  I would love to have Waypoints in the same way as Litchi does.  it is really useful to save your missions and run them later,  or even edit them in a PC and then deploy it in the field.  
you should consider that.  at least to allow users to save the missions for later use directly in the app.

I feel your pain. I always like to keep my options open. Until recently, I did not care about mapping/waypoint features but the potential of earnings goes up exponentially should I decide to move beyond real estate (AKA...over crowded market) to GIS/mapping, LIDAR, Thermal...type flights. As I look back at what is compatible for mapping, DJI is always a generation or two behind. Certification courses etc. are all demanding Phantom 4, inspire, Mavic Pro (1), even the MP2 can map. Most of the time I am shooting scenery and only contemplating the move to serious commercial use. I AM NOT looking forward to backdating my Air 2S to a P4. I mean...seriously. Very frustrating. I guess you have to keep what you have and add another tool. I don't think my choice would be DJI for mapping since they don't support their own new products for mapping. I think I would go with the EVO Lite of simply move to the ancient Skydio 2.

In case anyone wants to know , latest litchi app is working with my Air 2S.
