I love to get one, but not a fan of a Magnetic  connection. I love to get one but not a fan of two separate screens, I love to get one other   info watching   what  are your thoughts

Not sure I want a  camera with  a 580Mah bat that I may have to   keep on charging if I do not want to add the second module, or no external  memory.   a lot is going through my mind. and not interested in 9:Am released Beta test videos

I was really keen to reach for my wallet but wait - if you want the four mics, you need the front screen unit.  If you want to use a memory card, you need the battery unit.  So by the time you've got the equivalent of a GoPro, you've got a rather large and expensive piece of kit.  I'm starting to rethink my planned purchase... it's a great concept but the card should have been in the screen unit and the extra battery should have just been... a battery.  Fatal flaw, methinks.

Edit - now I've seen a reviewer say that the screen module DOES have an SD card slot.  So... does anyone really know?

I took the plunge and got the dual screen kit. I'm still on the fence about the separate modules and whether I can keep up with them and not loose them. I do like the compactness of the camera otherwise and the FOV, RS 2.0 and horizon lock. I also like that it has 32 GB storage on the main unit, but truly only about 22GB is available due to the camera OS taking up some space there. I guess I can always send it back if I don't like it though.

I have 2 Osmo Actions, mainly used on bicycle tours, one in front with an iSteady pro gimbal, the other at the back or in the hand. For this purpose the Action 2 seems to be useless. The pure camera modul has too less battery and too less memory, and in combination with the external batterypack it is not waterproof and it doesn't fit in any gimbal. So, I will not become a customer of this tiny toy. I hope that DJI continues to sell the Osmo Action...

HorizonSteady only works at 2.7K according to one review.  Worth noting.

I just ordered the one with powerunit since I doesn't need the extra screen.

I also have OA from before, going to sell one of them since I don't need 3 camera's + Pocket 2 while making my videos.

Biggest put off for me is lack of sd card in the main unit. Im going to wait until some real world reviews are in before i make up my mind.

With a sensor of 4000 x 3000 pixel you can't do any stabilization at 4K. If it is done anyway, it is done in 2,7K and then upscaled to 4K...

Im not sure about the magnetic connection either,  will wait and see how it works in the real world.

Ill sell you my osmo action. Love it except for the fact that it kills gps as you cannot turn off wifi or bluetooth. I bikepack and race a fair bit and I need gps more than an action cam.

This design has too many flaws and the specs are also not as good as the GoPros. GoPro 10 easily wins this round.

I went fot the screen option mainly for the same stunning audio system as the Pocket 2.

90% of people watch TV in 1080p in fact most TV recordings are in 1080P, Cinema show almost all Movies in 1080P.
2.7k is pretty good and as this new straight horizon I was surprised they had it in any K ;+)

You have almost convinced yourself its not for you. Maybe let us know what it is you want in an action small camera and go from there. Forget about the magnets there is also a second redundancy.

Export your 1080p videoproject as 1440p. Or record your videos in 1440p, which is the optimum for sensors with 4000x3000 pixel when using stabilization.  Beginning with 1440p Youtube uses the VP09-codec for all HD-formats, which gives a much better quality...

I know this, that's why I mention it to him. 1080p only playback with avc1-codec that looks really terrible.

I always upload in 4K, doesn't take that long with my internet.

You’re correct there, YT and a lot of other social media platforms leave a little to be desired in how they show your footage.

Will not work with a garmin or a wahoo cycling computer at all.  It will work with m phone as well. But a phone is not a true navigation device.
