does anyone know if the DJI Mic (wirless) will work with DJI Osmo Action (first version) directly via usb-c (no additional adapters ect ...)

So that long answer in summary is a "No"

I would also like to know if the DJI wireless mic will work with the osmo action camera (first camera) by using the Cynova adapter and 3.5mm jack?

I can confirm that it does with with the 3.5mm jack and the synova adapter. Works well actually. Wish DJI would have confirmed the question instead of me having to purchase on a hope though.

Thanks for confirming this. Does the USB-C work on the adapter to connect the wireless mic or is that purely for charging?

I want to try and connect a cheap Chinese wireless mic via usb-c if I can and then adapter otherwise I will get a 3.5mm one.
