Quite the extensive list.  The overheating issue at the present time is the main show stopper for me. Was looking to use the OA2 while scuba diving.   

Quite a list indeed.
I have a Pocket 2 already, so not in the market yet.

For me the limited internal memory and battery life are absolute dealbreaker.
I'll stick with my Osmo Action, with my 256Gb sd and my 4 batteries set.

Good that the colors seems better than Action 1.

Fishycomics - ounds like what you want is the new Ronin 4D camera, or whatever it's called... once again, this is not some kind of upgrade to the original Acition.  It's a improved version of the Insta360 modular concept (the camera can be used on its own if the use case demands it) and an upgrade from the Go 2 (you can offload the internal memory to the SD card in the other module and it's got a screen and better video quality).

we'll wait for the 2nd generation of the Action 3 to come out,   If I get a ronan  like to for 3-d video Lol

The price. I was prepared to get it, since I want a second action camera and it does have some nice-to-have features, but the price is putting me off.

I think for Diving should be ok, as long as its not in the Bath ;+), looking at most reviews outdoor sport action are pretty safe when recording in 4K.

totally turned off when DJI raised the price of the OSmo Action $100 and not offering any true sales, its RETAIL  b ut that is L I F E
