Thought I make a new topic about this, so it would not be spread around on the forum.

So what 3rd party addons/gadgets do you want made for Action 2?

I hope some will make a extender of some kind so we can have the power-unit in our pocket, and connect it to the main-unit with a cord.

Then it will work great as a helmet-cam with enough storage and power for more than 1-2 hour recording.

Good to know.

The key things that I would like to see would be a protective clear filter for the lens, and/or a magnetic lens cover.  Also a little case for the camera plus module.  I tried putting the camera on its own into a tiny case I bought for the Action 1 but it is waaaay to small for that case and would rattle around in it.  I bet all sorts of addons will emerge from China within weeks...

Probably a fan to keep it cool.

I also think A2 main unit will be too light for my iSteady 2-gimbal, but have to try that + it probably doesn't fit either since it fit perfect on OA.

About the overheating, people only test it indoors but not outdoors with wind.

It's also a matter of whether they were using the new lower-heating firmware.

That feature is geo locked. So I’m Europe it cannot be enabled.

This might be their intention. Sell us a camera with an overheating issue and call it a feature not an issue, then release a fan module for an expensive price to keep the thing cool!! "But wait, theres more!!"

Well its another argument to add a module to it I suppose.

mic adapter with pass thru power like on the OSMO Action i.e. the Cynova adapater, or another version of the battery module

that has a built in 3.5mm jack, they should be able to do that now without any issue.

Skeleton Cage to hold the two modules, not sure I would trust the magnetic connnection while on a boat and a fishing pole hits and then bam you 500 dollar camera is gone LOL
