DJI_0049_1_Trim.mp4 on Vimeo   Was pleasantly surprised how well the mini 2 flies up above 14,000 feet. Wind was an issue at this height but it still flew pretty straight and not much movement. This video was rendered, but not color graded in any way. Is it necessary to have ND filters or do you think the footage can be just as good lowering and raising the ISO?

Good to know that it can fly at such heights. ND filters can add a bit of contrast but are mostly used to lower the shutter speed to get motion blur (the longer the shutter stays open, the more movement it captures and blurs). That only really shows when you fly very low and rather fast, especially with an fpv drone. On the Mini 2 I don't bother with ND filters...

Thanks for the input that is good to know. I think having good lighting and not facing the sun is what works the best... What do you think about polarized filters to reduce glare? It would be beneficial in a situation where you film into the sun.

I live in Colorado. Most of the time I get the height warning if I am close to the mountains. The warning comes on often but it does not stop you from flying or taking off. You can still fly but your battery is reduced quite a bit because the drone is working much harder + cold air.

I don't know enough about polarizing.
I once saw a video of a guy saying it didn't make sense in a drone because you had to adjust the angle of the polarizer and you can't do that in the air.
I never bothered with them but I think a few of my ND filters had PL as well...

Reduced for sure. You have to plan a shot. Maybe 15-20 minutes total time.
