That's the thing we already have to go to outside sources and side load because it isn't in the he playstore, how long will it take to get an official copy that can pass playstore checks?

W.U.T. What??? Are you saying that even on previous pixel phones, which have apparently worked just fine with the app, still required sideloading the app?

For me on a pixel 5 as soon as they moved to android 12 it dropped out of the play store. That's why they provide links for side load earlier in this thread

Has anyone tried Litchi? It is not working for me yet either. I get 2-3 seconds of video then a black screen for several minutes.

Got it on my phone, but it does not work either. If I remember correctly it does require the DJI App on the phone (maybe it was years ago I first tested Litchi out, but never used it much)?

Just asked the support... they got a message last friday that there will be a new DJI Fly App Version "soon". Personal estimation of the support worker said around 2 weeks. But yeah... ^^

NICE! It is kind of funny they quoted from THIS thread. "We recognize the increasing numbers of Pixel 6 owners having trouble....so try another phone"  HAHAHA, good one to be quoted on.

FYI, the Google Tensor SoC uses both Samsung’s own Multi-Function Codec IP block (which is identical to what's on the Exynos 2100) as well as a Google IP block, called “BigOcean”, that is dedicated to AV1 decoding. And AV1 is probably not the video codec used by the app (99,9% it's h264 just like the downloadable footage)

This is very probably why both Pixel 6 and Sam S21 have the very same issue. However, this MFC IP block is not something new, and its exposure to the Android framework should make the use of it pretty transparent for the devs.

Perhaps it is time to start digging up corporate contact e-mails...

Bone stock Android 12 won't run DJI Fly app?

Pixel 3 works on Android 12. Updated to pixel 6 pro now I can't fly my drone. Don't understand what is happening with the app. DJI is dropping the ball, the Mavic 3 is a perfect example, unfinished but release it anyway.

I had to google the hate for Mavic 3 to understand what you meant. Wow, no wonder we are waiting for DEV time.

From reading the response from the Dji rep, I would find another drone product. Sounds as though there is no urgency to get this issue resolved. It's aggravating, considering the Pixel 6 line is one of the most popular flagships to be released this quarter. It's a shame to say the least.

Now that is some bad (to put it lightly) publicity.

The issue is resolved with the latest download (1.5.1). Was test using a pixel 6 Pro with Android 12. Yay!!!!

Can anyone else confirm theirs works with 1.5.1? I tried once before and I still have nothing. I uninstalled and reinstalled everything and still nothing.

Classic use of the Me Too hashtag, that must've gotten their attention because version 1.5.1 works fine with my Pixel 6 Pro and Mavic Mini.
Previous version show no video feed but this seems to be working as intended.

I currently have v1.5.1. Also currently downloading a new update...

Good news, I think. When I opened the DJI Fly app on my Pixel 6 Pro, it said there was an update available, started downloading it. At that time I also checked what my current version of the Fly app was, v1.5.1 (1980-current). After the update, it was v1.5.1 (2025-official). Same version, but different info after the version number. I can also confirm that the live view is active now on my Pixel 6 Pro while controlling a Mavic Air 2.

Is someone able to check Pixel 6 Pro and the Go 4 app. I have a M2P and mini 2 so need both apps to be working. Thanks

Ok I'm in as well with a Pixel 6 pro after the update!

Same here with the 6Pro! Beside that, there is also an unrelated update of my controller.

My apologies, when I saw you referenced version 1.5.1, which I knew didn't work before. Looks like they made a new version without increasing the version #.

FINALLY!

Exact same issue here as a Pixel 6 owner with Mavic Air 2. Not a huge fan that DJI suggested to "use a compatible device"- like I have a bunch of spare phones or tablets lying around!!

DJI fly app is working on the pixel 6 pro now. 1.5.1

Same here, got the spark downloaded updated apk but still no good, doesn't even include the spark!,!
C'mon guy's get this sorted.

Android 12, the latest android version is not compatible with their software?  I don't know about you guys but I will actively tell people to not buy their drones.  I haven't been able to use mine for a month.  

This is amateur hour with thousand dollar drones...

I just upgraded my DJI fly to the latest version and my mavic Air 2 to the latest firmware. All is well with my Pixel 6 pro. No more black screen. I can see the camera view with my phone.

I have just decided to check on progress here and downloaded the latest DJI Go for P4 and beyond app in order to fly my spark using my Google Pixel 6 Pro. The app does not even open for me - crashes on start up. This seems to imply that there has been no progress towards making the DJI products compatible with modern mobile phones. This leads to two questions...

1. Is there an update really coming or is the market for Pixels 6 (and future pixels?) just too small for them to bother with?
2. What should I be using as an alternative (app or drone)?

I have no idea about the Go for app but the (latest) Fly App v1.5.4 does work with Android 12 on Pixel 6's. Again, no idea about the Go 4 App.

If you download the latest GO4 ( version 4.3.46 ) from the DJI site ( https://www.dji.com/downloads/djiapp/dji-go-4 ) it will work on PIXEL 6 pro .

While that version does not show any video when using a MAVIC 2 PRO, it does work OK with a Mavic Air ( 1st gen ). If it works with the AIR, I guess It will work with the SPARK.
( I dont have my SPARK anymore - I can't test )

The version of GO4 from PLAYSTORE does not work properly on Pixel  6.

As for other application, I purchased LITCHI so I can use my Pixel 6 Pro with my MAVIC 2 PRO ...
