DJI Action 2 - Unable to preview/download files

I just got the new DJI Action 2 and I am unable to preview/download the files from the DJI Mimo application (v 1.7.0) on an iPhone 13 Pro Max (iOS 15.1)

I am able to control the DJI Action 2 from the DJI Mimo app, playback recognizes the files but they appear as blank thumbnails and when I try to download them to either the phone or the DJI app, it stalls.

I am able to view them just fine on the same DJI Mimo version on an iPad or different iPhone running iOS 14. I’ve already tried uninstalling Mimo, doing factory reset on Action 2. Switching between 5ghz and 2ghz wifi bands. Formatting the internal SD. I even tried resetting nerwork and location settings on iOS.

Please help!

Latest Mimo update did not resolve the issue. Judging by the support (or lack thereof) I think I wouldrather return it at get my $570 back

I got mine on the 12th and I’m having this issue. If I would’ve read this I probably wouldn’t of gotten it

I have an iPhone X with latest iOS. Preview & file transfer through Mimo app always fails to preview and transfer with action 2

Same here iphone 12 pro max… Horrible….. what’s the point in recording when we cant get them out.

I'm having the same problem and this is very frustrating. I'm able to transfer the files to the computer then I have to transfer to my iPhone 13. But this way is so much more work. They really need to fix this very soon because, I'd rather return it if I have to go through this steps every time I create footage. It makes no sense.

I have the same issue and after contacting DJI technical support I was informed that there is not date for DJI solve this problem. I will return my Action 2 and ask for reimbursement.

Connect to Action 2 and then Try to turn of Mobile data in Settings --> Cellular -->Cellular data. It will work for sure.

works for me. Surprised that one has to turn off cellular data to do so. I hope they fix it in the next update.

Others have shared the work around.  
Go to your iphone’s settings, then cell data, search for dji Mimo in list and disable cell data.

The same issue. Only turn off the data works, but I'm keeping it coz I don't go live when outside. Hope they are gonna fix it soon.

This thread is a couple years old already, and from what I can tell, the issue still exists.  Also experiencing problems transferring/previewing files from the mimo app.  The only solution as already stated: Turn off Cellular Data.  This is not an ideal solution given that I've now accidentally forgot to turn it back ON many times.

DJI, is there anything coming down the pipeline to address this?
