New app is here(iOS), fingers crossed they didn't ruin something... Apparently the only new thing is mavic 3 support:

it always has been like that unfortunately...since i switched to iphone i realized how much more stable and reliable is the fly app on the ios

It is.
But that is quite simple to explain.
iOS is closed source and has very limited variations.
So it is much more easy to develop for with all the things the DJI apps need.

not really only because of that, part of the problem is that for sure...the other is that  dji have some real idiots working on the software(probably on the management side). they managed to screw it even on ios on several occasions - like the constant charging "genius" move.

I feel a bit frustration here.
I'm sure they will all outsmart me.

According to GavinHR the resetting the yaw-settings issue still has not been fixed in the new IOS version:

Maybe they will think to put back some on screen notification for the aeb lock...maybe....
Until then I am using version1.4.8 -- 1185.

i did get as update from 1.4.12 in the app this morning on dji site still 1855
maybe i was lucky or not

Exactly this.  iOS is only apple.  Android consists of a load of different manufactures using the Android OS and has to be compiled to work with all devices under said OS.

Maybe a beta future version put on the release channel by accident and pulled back.

Or you might have extra features now, we don't have.
We might be in a release race like with the 1.4.12

Fingers crossed.  I haven't updated yet!  

With previous version, 1.4.12(1430) , band 5.2GHz was enabled in my country, Israel. Now, with 1.5.0(1855), I see only 2.4GHz band.
DJI, please bring back 5.2GHz band for Israel! I guess, 1.4.12 has regulatory updates merged in, while 1.5.0 - not yet.

Same here. I'm staying 1.4.8 (1185) until they get everything fixed. Does anybody know what the 1.5.0 still uses the different location for the DJ I directory like 1.4.12?

Just went for a trial flight with the latest Android version(1.5.0-1870) It works GREAT!!! The LED control is back, the controller arrow points at the correct compass heading, and everything else looked good. I did not try the gimbal reset because that is something I do not use. It seems to have picked up around 100 yards from orange signal and disconnect/RTH.

That seems to be correct, indeed.

I installed 1855. Didn't see an update being mensioned.  When I check the version now, it seems to be 1870.

I installed but it did not auto update to 1870.
Still on 1855. Any idea why?

Do you have it set to auto update? If not, go into profile/settings/about/update. Then choose check for update.
