Wow, that was super quick.  Too bad Master Shots and Active Track aren't available at release.  Not a good marketing ploy to issue an IOU for a future firmware upgrade.

So No burst mode (Mavic Pro 2 has it) or continuous shutter like a DSLR, I would like to see 5-8fps continuous shutter, if it can do 5k @ 50fps in video mode I dont see why they cant do 5-8 fps DNG's in photo mode...

I think it's always best to update the firmware before shipping the product right? I hate when I get a new product but the firmware does not work yet.

Hi DJI,

Burst mode is a absolut must have for a drone with this price tag.
Recommendation: Take a Mavic 2 Pro with DJI Go4 and check, which feature are currently missing at the Mavic 3 or FlyApp.

Having a somewhat restricted Fly App for a cheap Mini 2 is somehow acceptable, but for sure not for a prosumer product.

Gary you have several drones. You should know by now that there is always new firmware that accompanies a new drone release. This is nothing new.

Whoever write firmware log, PLEASE spend more time typing what new updates means! For example "Added D-Log mode." where it was added? To general video option or to Explore mode?

The fly app is fine and many prefer it, its less cluttered easies to line up shots and much less trawling through menus.
Yes more developing, but it should have no problem coping with all M3 needs, but I agree dji are dropping the ball big time here, charging an arm and a leg for a drone and leaving out much sought after features “without letting buyers Know”

I received mine today and noticed that there are basically no other modes available right now besides basic photos and basic video.
But when I click on Hyperlapse or Pano, it says "feature not available".

Sooooooooo...is there already a date you can tell us, when all the missing features will be updated?

Every DJI product has had a FW update on Launch.

One of the reasons that they send drones and camera equipment to reviewers months before. They are the real Beta Testers. Then their results are combined into a FW release at time of launch.

But wait......they're saying not even hyperlapse or pano work yet.  Those are already working features in previous drones.  They should at least get the existing stuff working at product release.  New features can be arguably updated after release.  I say arguably because even some new features should at least be working and available to some degree on a new drone advertised to have such features.

For example, "added" Dlog?  That should have been present in the shipping unit.  Anyway, I hope that means it can shoot ProRes in Dlog now.  I had heard it couldn't.  Not sure if that was true or not but perhaps now it can.  And "optimized flight safety?" I don't even know what that means.  Was something unsafe when it shipped?

I will wait for a couple more updates before I even consider getting one.

Please ask the DEV team to review the LOG profile from M3 as of quality in H265, the curve is not well balanced and the profile will have (again) a loss in blacks between 0 to 6% at "grey almost black details"...Instead of retaining that Grey to black details, is just discarding it and make it black (probably in order to look less grain or appear more contrasting), but this is not a PRO solution.

Also PLEASE CONFIRM that the profile will have the possibility to set Contrast, Saturation and Sharpness from -3 to +3, as we are talking about a PRO drone.

Something I have found missing that I hope will be added in the future is 3x2 format for still photos. Right now the only options at 4x3 and 16x9. I am having shoot in 4x3 and crop every photo to match my ground camera.

Mavic 3 does not work with any mapping software.    And DJI cannot give any assurance that it will. Crazy

Aperture on a thumbwheel please!

Since updating to this new firmware, I am unable to download files from Mavic 3 Cine SSD to iPad Pro running latest 15 firmware. Even Files apps sees SSD -> DCIM but no files inside that folder.

*1 for Aperture on a thumbwheel.

Autel Evo II is no good.  Wouldn't respond to my right-stick Mode 2 commands within using the 2nd battery after the first.  It did respond to going up and down though (while drifting away slowly uncontrollably with the wind).  Luckily RTH worked! (last and final hope)  Never using Autel again.  The controller also feels "front" heavy.  The form factor of that is totally not good.

It doesn't matter if no one has posted this issue, I have first hand and we just updated the firmware on both devices!  We did turn off the drone and controller after the update.

That happening killed my confidence in droning again.

Pix4D doesn't work?  I would wait until they make sure the mapping software indeed works, could result in a drone loss if trying to make it work now.  Just because it's new doesn't mean it will have no issues.  The GoPro 9 was having all kinds of issues with the best memory cards.

no autonomous flight // SDK for Pix4D, DroneDeploy or other mapping tools makes it completly useless. Pity.

What is C4K?

C4k is their definition of “true” 4K. I believe the resolution and aspect ratio differ slightly. Works on the standard version of the drone and I’m sure it’s on the others as well
